The 4 wives - Inspirational Story

After 6 hours of non-stop working, sorting out April's account, documents & files, at last I can  breathe easy! Before I continues to prepare payment to company vendors I decided to look for a article to enlighten my tired brain and body online and walla, I stumbles upon this nice story from Indianchild.com. I thought it was about marriage life only to find out that it's really good  for our soul! Okay, here is the story & hope it will give you a wake up slap as it did to me ( ^_^ ) V

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.
He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.
He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.
Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.
One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, "Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I die, I'll be alone. How lonely I'll be!"
Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word.
The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant's heart. The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is so good over here! I'm going to remarry when you die!" The merchant's heart sank and turned cold.
He then asked the 2nd wife, "I always turned to you for help and you've always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave." The answer came like a bolt of thunder and the merchant was devastated.
Then a voice called out : "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, "I should have taken much better care of you while I could have !"
Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives
a. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die.
b. Our 3rd wife ? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.
c. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.
d. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure.
Guess what? It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. Perhaps it's a good idea to cultivate and strengthen it now rather than to wait until we're on our deathbed to lament

Author Notes:- I may not a pious Muslimah, not even a good Muslimah but I believe in prayer.. I am far from perfect in my Solat but still I prays to the Almighty One because prayer is the breathe of our soul and with prayer we will always in touch with our soul and our Almighty Allah..

Answer to Share Buttons Not Showing/Disappearing for Custom Template Users

Google Image
Since I don't know how to create my own templates, I always downloaded the customized templates available for blogger and then edited the HTML codes according to my taste. The 1st problem I noticed when I downloaded the customized templates are the invisibility of the blogger shared button though I already check it in  blogger post configuration. I tried lots of tips and trick I manged to find throughout the net but most of it really hard for a IT novice like me until I stumble upon the best & easy tips ( for me la.. )

To bring your share buttons back no matter what your custom html settings are follow these instructions:

1: From your Blog, click on the link named "Design" at the top right of your page.

2: Click on "Edit HTML"

3: Check the box called "Expand Widget Templates"

4: Click in the box and press ctrl+f or use your browser's search function.

5: Search for "shareButtons"

6: Below this you will see three lines spaced about 5 lines apart each that read like this:
  < a class = 'shared-button sb-email
  < a class = 'shared-button sb-blog
  < a class = 'shared-button sb-twitter
  < a class = 'shared-button sb-facebook
  < a class = 'shared-button sb-buzz
After each of the first ' characters paste this code:
goog-inline-block
So that each line reads like this:
< a class = 'goog-inline-block shared-button sb-email...
< a class = 'goog-inline-block shared-button sb-blog..
etc.
This should fix everything. Remember to click on "Save Template" when you are done. :)

Hopefully, this tips / tricks will help all of the IT novice out there..=)

P/S : Frankly, I write this tutorial mainly for myself so that I don't need to do the searching all over again when I want to change my templates again =P

Reading Better and Faster

For most people, it is easy to learn to read faster. Your reading rate is often just a matter of habit. But to begin, you may need to try to change some habits and try these tips:

1. Pay attention when you read and read as if it really matters. Most people read in the same way that they watch television, i.e. in an inattentive, passive way. Reading takes effort and you must make the effort. A wise teacher once told me that you can learn anything if you do three things:
PAY ATTENTION
PAY ATTENTION and
PAY ATTENTION.
There are some simple methods that you can use to pay better attention and get more out of your textbook reading time. Different authors call it different things, but many researchers say that you will improve your comprehension if you somehow "preview" the passage before you actually sit down and read every word.
To do a preview you:
  • take 30 to 60 seconds.
  • look over the title of the chapter.
  • look at all the headings, subheadings and marked, italic or dark print.
  • look at any pictures or illustrations, charts or graphs.
  • quickly skim over the passage, reading the first and last paragraph and glancing at the first sentence of every other paragraph.
  • close the book and ask yourself:
  • ---What is the main idea?
  • ---What kind of writing is it?
  • ---What is the author's purpose?
You might not think that you could possibly answer these questions with so little exposure to the material, but if you do the preview correctly, you should have some very good general ideas. If you have a general idea of what the passage is about before you really read it, you will be able to understand and remember the passage better. When you finally get to the point where you are actually slowly reading the passage, read in a "questioning" manner -as if you were seaching for something. It sometimes helps if you take the heading or title of a chapter and turn it into a question.
For example, if the heading of a section in the text is "The Causes of the Civil War", take that title and switch it into a question like: "What are the causes of the Civil War?". Now you have a goal; something to look for; something to find out. When you are goal-oriented, you are more likely to reach the goal. At least you'll remember one thing about the text which you have just read.

2. Stop talking to yourself when you read. People talk to themselves in 2 ways, by:
  • vocalizing, which is the actual moving of your lips as you read, and
  • subvocalizing, which is talking to yourself in your head as you silently read.
Both of these will slow you down to the point in which you find that you can't read any faster than you can speak. Speech is a relatively slow activity; for most, the average speed is about 250 WPM (words per minute).
Reading should be an activity which involves only the eyes and the brain. Vocalization ties reading to actual speaking. Try to think of reading as if you were looking at a landscape, a panorama of ideas, rather than looking at the rocks at your feet.

3. Read in thought groups. Studies have shown that when we read, our eyes must make small stops along the line. Poor readers make many, many more fixations (eyestops) than good readers. Not only does this slow you down, but it inhibits comprehension because meaning is easier to pull from groups of words rather than from individual words or even single letters. Try to read in phrases of three or four words, especially in complete clauses and prepositional phrases. Your mind may internalize them as if the whole phrase is like one big meaning-rich word.

4. Don't keep re-reading the same phrases. Poor readers habitually read and re-read the same phrase over and over again. This habit of making "regressions" doubles or triples reading time and often does not result in better comprehension. A single careful, attentive reading may not be enough for full comprehension, but is often more effective than constant regressions in the middle of a reading. It is best to work on paying closer attention the first time through. Do a preview first before the careful reading and try the tips I mentioned above. You'll remember better without the rereading.

5. Vary your reading rate to suit the difficulty and type of writing of the text. Poor readers always read at the same slow rate. An efficient reader speeds up for easier material and slows down for the hard. Some things were not meant to be read quickly at all. Legal material and very difficult text should be read slowly. Easier material and magazines and newspapers can be read quickly. Poetry and plays were meant to be performed, and if not acted out, then at least, spoken out loud orally. This obviously will conflict with good speed reading method which forbids vocalization. Religious writings and scripture were originally written to be recited and listened to by an audience which was likely to be intelligent, but illiterate. The "fun" of poetry, plays, or prayer is not really experienced if you "speed read" the text.

Speed Reading Self-Pacing Methods

Source: Google Image
Speed reading is not magic nor is it a big expensive mystery. Professional speed reading classes simply teach a handful of easy techniques that help a person focus his or her attention better. The eye is drawn to motion. Speed reading techniques put that motion on the page.
Your starting position is important. You should sit up straight, hold the book down with your left hand, and use your right hand to do the pacing.
You should already be a good reader before you attempt to speed read. Speed reading will not help you if you have problems in comprehension and vocabulary. In fact, it may hurt you to try to rush through stuff that you can't comprehend. You should have the basics down already first.
Before you start speed reading, you should do a survey of the information first to get a general idea of what you will be covering and of the type of writing.

Sorry, I am No Fan of Mary Kay Product!

Do you have ever been approached by someone  (stranger / friends / families) who claimed themselves as a beauty consultant ? Well, you know those people who did a demo about washing your face, applying masker, toner, moisturizer, foundation etc ( excluding make-up ) using their so- called product. In your opinion, are they really a " beauty consultant" as they claimed or it just a "commercial name' they use to promote/sell their product?

Frankly, to  m y opinion. I thinks they are just as bad as as a liar and their demo were just a bullshit! Sorry, it's sound a bit harsh and mean but that's just my honest opinion about those kind of people.. They are just another kind of liar because all of the demo they did only show the good side of their product where as they left the bad side for us to find out later. I referred to their demo as a bullshit because it's just a basic stuff that even a naive/nerd schoolgirl know about it. Just because they attended a few hour class of how to take care their skin using their product, they dare to called themselves as a beauty consultant. So if that is the reason why they called themselves a beauty consultant then peoples who know this basic can claimed themselves as a beauty consultant too, am I right?

I am not referred to those people who really studied the field of skin and beauty therapy since  this people really have a certificate in their profession and they are qualified to be called beauty consultant. I am referring to those people who claimed themselves as a beauty consultant just because they attended a few hour class or training of  demonstrating their own product. They attended the class just to know how to promote/sell their product without even knowing the meaning of their profession or worst without a single passion in field of skin and beauty.

Surce: Google Image
Hahaha, I  guess all of you already know whose beauty consultant did I referred to right? Okay, no more riddles and let me tell you exactly who they are.. They are Mary Kay (MK) beauty consultant! Sorry, sis-in-law, I really hates MK!
I don't understand how can MK still standing high and sell their product since a lot of complaint / bad review on their product since 2008.Their products are not really as good as they claimed it was. Maybe in time being it look good on them and even give the result they want for but they didn't realized that the product have a catalyst long term effect they might regret later. Even one of their director who called herself pinktruth had established a web to reveal the fraud and bad things about MK. In one of her article of WHY SHE QUIT MARY KAY , she wrote " My decision to quit MK was based on the facts of my health, and the lack of true information about this business opportunity.

I was studying chemical before I involved in accounting & business management and I know the fact that any beauty product were content with a series of chemical formulation that will have a bad effect sooner or later. I only used facial foam, toner, moisturizer, lotion & press/foundation powder daily. My range of brand selection are  Fair & lovely, Olay, Nivea, Maybelline, Safi & Silky girl because its product suitable for my skin and affordable as well. Do you know that the price of one MK facial foam is equal to 3 Safi facial foam! No way I am gonna waste my money to buy expensive product by MK that might content harmful chemical when I can always buy cheaper product such as Safi that safe & Halal as well.

My skin & beauty is mine to control. I control every thing that goes in and on my body. You can try to persuade me or even lied to me to buy your product but  in the end the ultimate power is still mine. I might need your advise but in the end still I am the one who take action on what the best for my skin. So, back off all of those people who try to cloud my mind with fraud and lies because I know my skin better than you! If I need help I will asks the expert, not you who claimed yourself as beauty consultant and offered your advise just to promote your product!

Moreover, you have to pay at least RM20 to attend this class! Hahahaha, what a jokes( LMAO )! No way I am gonna pay for such basic stuff they teach since I can googles load of articles and video on skin care and beauty therapy through internet!(LOL)

It's just my say and it's up to you to determine what the best for you! But I think all of us are better educated nowadays and those beauty consultant bluffing shouldn't  sway us at all. Only simpleton will believe their ceramah about skin care, Muahahahaha!

P/s: This is not a campaign against this product but just another honest opinion. So, please no hard feeling and Peace No War !
