Selfish Friendship

Source: Google Image
Once a cat was caught in a hunter's net. A mouse used to live in a nearby hole. The mouse seeing the cat in the net started playing around the cat. Soon a mongoose came there. He wanted to kill the mouse. As he lifted his head, he saw an owl sitting on a tree trying to catch him. The mongoose went very near the cat's net to save himself. The mouse thought "When the hunter takes away the cat, the mongoose will not spare me and the owl is there to enjoy both of us."

The Mouse went to the cat and said, "I can cut the net if you promise to save my life from the mongoose and the owl." The cat agreed. The mouse started cutting the net slowly and freed the cat only when the hunter was just near the cat. The cat took to heels and so ran the mongoose too. The owl was very much disappointed to see even the mouse running away to safety.

A few days later, the cat being hungry, went to the hole of the mouse and requested him to come out for a game. The mouse replied, "I sought friendship and saved you to save my life." Now you can go home.

MORAL : Don’t nurture friendship with selfish people

At first i don't get what the connection between moral of the story & the story itself. It's pretty confusing & it took me sometimes to analysis the story to fully understand what is it about.. In my own words, the rat sought friendship with the cat for his own benefit so that he can escaped from the danger that surround him for that moment..( hahaha, consider ja la the rat sex is M ).. Yup the cat was rescued in return but only because the rat was in danger. Means, there was no sincerity in that friendship!
Google Image

Sincerity is one of value that important in building a ever lasting friendship. I hardly encounter any sincere people here in my area and that is why I don't have many good friend. In fact I don't have any friend here in Selangor. Maybe I don't look hard but I really don't wish to befriend someone who take me for granted..

I still know some friend but their character is similar to the rat in above story & I rather be alone than befriend with someone selfish..

So, what about you? Do you want to have a selfish friend?

Wish Upon The Star

Source: Google
Do you remember being a kid, when the world  was full with possibilities? When we believed that we could change the world by making a simple wish?

Yup, I was one of those kid who make thousand of silly wish! When I make my 1st wish ( I was 8 years old that time ), I looked up to the sky with my hand clasped and my eyes closed then wished " I wishes that my family is wealthy ". At that time my father was struggling to support my big family where money always a problem and i guess that motivated me to make that silly wish..

Here is some of my thousand wish that I never forget until now:-
  • I wished Santa Clause will visit my village
  • I wished I can turn into mermaid
  • I wished I have a blue eyes
  • I wished Michael Jackson visit Sabah
  • I wished I can meet princess Diana

Hahahaha.. It's endless because I always wish something every single day! I still sometimes making wish upon the star but now I make a wiser and realistic wish that I can achieve. My father said that everyone can wish and there is no point of silly or stupid in wishing something because the main point in wishing is our intention. Nothing impossible and God willing if our intention is pure enough, we will achieve it in time..

So dear reader, what is your wish?

P/S :~
  1. I wish I will win a jackpot that I can pay my PTPTN loan in lump-sum amount and travel all over the   world! ( tua2 pun masih mo buat wish lagi..hihihi )

Rocking song of title "Animal"

When I was thinking on what I am going to write for my latest entry, I am kind of blank and have no idea on but then AWESOME song as below on air at MTV channel and I think, why not I write about it!

My kids love this song.. Whenever this song is on air, my kids will start dancing and singing along especially during the "oh oh I want some " part.. Our small house will turn mcm disko sekejap time ni lagu on air.. My hubby & I pun join because this song really awesome.. Even my youngest son pun know the chorus part.. Hahaha..Funny betul ba tengok si kecik shake his butt..

Maybe the lyrics is kinda of inappropriate for kids but I don't mind because they hardly understand the true meaning of the song. I mean, my kids just enjoy the music ba.

source: Google image
Actually I am not really big fan of Neon Tree, singer of this song because I am big fan of Green Day & Paramore but since the release of this song I start to like them not as much as the other 2 group though. In fact I don't know much about them before this song. ( I start to google about them only after I heard this song on air ). Biasa la, kalau 1 single meletup baru we start to get to know the singer kan..

Seem like need to stop typing because mo join dorang nyanyi dulu..
See ya later!

p/s:  Best oo ni lagu jadi senam aerobik punya background song... We sweat faster!

Culinary Failure!

Whenever my hubby and me talk about culinary, he will teases me about my 1st fried rice that I prepared years ago.

Frankly, I don't how to cook when I married him 10 years ago! Okay, let me tell you why he teases me about it.
That day I choose to prepare fried rice because I thought it's easy than other menu. I used my common knowledge didn't refer to any recipe book.( Malu mo tanya plus masa tu I don't have/keep recipe book with me)

I still remember the ingredients of my fried rice :- a can of sardine, garlic, chillies, salt and a big bowl of cooked rice. I fried the meshed sardine, garlic and chillies together then I putted the cooked rice, added salt and done. At that time seronok la sebab manage to prepare something for my hubby. I don't even thought to taste it 1st.

So right after my hubby returned home, I asked him to taste my fried rice and do you know what he said??
" Awak masak ape ni?? Rasa macam NASI KUCING la.."
I tasted it and he was right because it tasted like cats' food!!! I felt so ashamed and I vowed that I will never cook anything without consult anybody..

I sulked for few days because of this nasi kucing incident but now when I think back it's kind of funny. After that I bought recipe books for cooking simple and daily dishes and never experimenting with my common knowledge in culinary..

One lesson I learned that day was to taste my cooking 1st before serving it to other people. My hubby said it's basic knowledge in culinary.

I am lucky because since that day my hubby is the doing the cooking task. I just help him to prepare the ingredients. I can cook but I am no chef! I don't have the talent in culinary though I loves food very much..

I think lots of people out there have their own experience with cooking and this is mine..

Note: I always admire people who expert in cooking because they can turn simple food into mouth watering dishes. They said everyone can cook but I definitely a failure in culinary..*sigh*

Water your body!

Like plants, we too need to water our body everyday! Our body contained from 55% to 78% with water, depending on our body size. To function properly, our body requires between 1 to 7 liters of water per day to avoid dehydration. Drinking water is essential to human and all kind of lifeforms!

Some of you might wonder how is it affect your confidence? Well, no matter how expensive or how up-to-date your make-up or beauty product, it won't cast away your dull and dry skin problem due to lack of moisture within your body system. All of those product only conceal those problem and I don't think all of us wanna to put on make-up 24/7 aren't we?

What I mean by water is not include with coffee, tea, carbonate drinks or etc but it is a clean, white water okay! In fact, you need to cut out taking all of those flavored drinks especially those with caffeine!

I am not bluffing about this because I've seen the result of drinking enough water with my own eyes! I don't know if the result is same for all people  or maybe it depend on our body system but one of my friend did have a translucent and flawless skin by drinking 8 glass and more water per day! Believe me when I said it boost-up her confidence !

For those who ignore this simple fact before this and then suffer with the consequence, it's never too late to start watering your body. Even hopeless plants can bloom beautifully after consistently being watered !! Try it and you have nothing to lose!

Valentine's Black Night

Sound horrifying huh? Actually it just that our kids-free Valentine's dinner turned out to be Family Valentine Day because our electricity was turn-off by TNB.. Yes, we got the LOVE LETTER and we already make the payment the same day we got the LOVE LETTER by TNB but due to some mistake on our side and TNB side, our electricity was not connected.. I am gonna tell how how was it happened okay..

The story begin on the noon of last Friday when my hubby went back home to fetch some stuff for my kids only to find out that our fuse was taken off and LOVE LETTER from TNB was put on our door grill. He didn't read the letter because we are expecting it ba . Since we can only take out money from bank on Saturday ( my cheque clear on Saturday ) so we decided to pay it on Monday morning and meanwhile we are using spare fuse (pssst... diam2 saja kio).

On Monday evening, after fetching our kids from their nanny, we found out that TNB haven't yet reconnect our electric power. My hubby call TNB hotline 15454 ( kalau tidak silap la ) and they told us to wait until 10pm.. Nah, terpaksa la we canceled our dinner and bring along the kids to do some shopping at GIANT instead.. After lepak2, Jalan2 keliling Giant for I guess 2 hour, we went back to check up whether the reconnection already done only to see that our flat still gelap-gulita..*sigh*

Hubby suda impatient.. He called again the hotline and this time he talked a bit harsh. The operator asked us the TNB acc number jadi kami pun rushing balik after buying foods at nearby pasar malam because the letter was left at home and we don't remember the acc number.

Sampai rumah ja, hubby opened the folded letter and realized that it wasn't our landlord name!!! Terkajut badak kami and I started to think the worst that I have to pay again and the money burn macam tu ja, meaning untung la siapa yg punya bill..*sob..sob*

After the operator said that we can cancel the payment and transfer it to our landlord acc then I felt a bit relief.. My hubby even asked for permission to use spare fuse to prevent any problem arise and granted.

I cannot enjoyed my off day yesterday because I was thinking of this problem and after we settled it this morning only I feel so much burden lifted from my shoulder..*FUHHH*
Hopefully next year problem like this won't happen again.. However celebrating Valentines with my kids was fun and worthy..

The moral of the story kawan2, check you bill before you pay okay!!

Note: Next time I will double check dulu bill punya info before making payment. I hate fixing things due to carelessness because it's wasting time & energy. I rather take some times to do the checking than doing the same thing over and over again.. What about you???

Put the smile on your face!

SMILE!!!

That's it! By smiling you can give +ve impression to other people but don't overdo it, otherwise people might think you're nut or something..( Few days ago I posted entry about laughing, jadi ni kali pasal senyum pula )

When you caught someone staring at you, don't show your hostile expression but try smiling because believe me you will lose nothing by doing that.. ( mcm iklan tv tu yg saiful apek berlakon..hahahaha )

Smiling is free cost way to show people that you have a great self-esteem.

Remember this song:~

SENYUM SEINDAH SURIA

YANG MEMBAWA CAHAYA

SENYUMLAH DARI HATI

DUNIAMU BERSERI

SENYUM UMPAMA TITIAN DALAM KEHIDUPAN

KAU TERSENYUM KU TERSENYUM

KEMESRAAN TERJALIN

SENYUM MEMBAHAGIAKAN

SENYUMANMU AMATLAH BERHARGA

SENYUM KEPADA SEMUA

DENGAN SENYUMAN TERJALINLAH IKATAN

Reason to smile :~

1. Smiling Makes Us Attractive

We are  drawn to people who smile. There is an attraction factor. We want to  know a smiling person and figure out what is so good. Frowns, scowls and  grimaces all push people away -- but a smile draws them in (avoid these  smile aging habit to keep your smile looking great).

 2. Smiling Changes Our Mood

Next time you are  feeling down, try putting on a smile. There's a good chance you mood  will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you  change your mood.

3. Smiling Is Contagious

When  someone is smiling they lighten up the room, change the moods of  others, and make things happier. A smiling person brings happiness with  them. Smile lots and you will draw people to you.

4. Smiling Relieves Stress

Stress  can really show up in our faces. Smiling helps to prevent us from  looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed. When you are stressed, take  time to put on a smile. The stress should be reduced and you'll be  better able to take action.

5. Smiling Boosts Your Immune System

Smiling  helps the immune system to work better. When you smile, immune function  improves possibly because you are more relaxed. Prevent the flu and  colds by smiling.

6. Smiling Lowers Your Blood Pressure

When  you smile, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Give  it a try if you have a blood pressure monitor at home. Sit for a few  minutes, take a reading. Then smile for a minute and take another  reading while still smiling. Do you notice a difference?

7. Smiling Releases Endorphins, Natural Pain Killers and Serotonin

Studies  have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers, and  serotonin. Together these three make us feel good. Smiling is a natural  drug.

8. Smiling Lifts the Face and Makes You Look Younger

The  muscles we use to smile lift the face, making a person appear younger.  Don't go for a face lift, just try smiling your way through the day --  you'll look younger and feel better.

9. Smiling Makes You Seem Successful

Smiling  people appear more confident, are more likely to be promoted, and more  likely to be approached. Put on a smile at meetings and appointments and  people will react to you differently.

10. Smiling Helps You Stay Positive

Try  this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing  the smile. It's hard. When we smile our body is sending the rest of us a  message that "Life is Good!" Stay away from depression, stress and  worry by smiling.

Knowing the benefits of smiling, you better not hide your smile!

P/S :- The song reminded me of my memories in secondary school.. Rindu ooooo!

Love is in the air!

While most Muslim people campaign to say NO to Valentine Day, here I am shouting this special day of Love to everyone! I wishes my mother, my siblings, my relatives and my friends Happy Valentine's day and hoping that people out there won't condemn me for this act of love..

JAKIM is doing what they have to do to prevent Muslim especially youngster from indulge in any immoral acts and I am totally agreed with it but I think they shouldn't too strict about it if it's celebrates by married couples. To me, celebrating it doesn't mean celebrating the Christian religion but celebrating the act of love by loving every living things.. The concept is same with celebration of other religion festival where the most important is our intention and faith, isn't it?

Isn't LOVE is one of Allah/God best gift in human nature and LOVING is one of the greatest kindness bestow by Allah/God in human nature? Tepuk dada, tanya selera..We know the answer!

Okay, enough with this "HOT" issue. I don't want my blog to enlist in PEOPLE black-list.. =P

Wishing each other Happy Valentine's day is good enough between my hubby and I because to us, everyday is valentine's day.. Just on 14th February, we will spare some times together to celebrate have dinner together without our 4 hyperactive princes and princess... *Smile*

I know what you all thinking but no, not an expensive candle-light dinner okay!! Just makan2 biasa at kedai makan "mug mug" nearby our flat area.. AND no flowers and gift too!

However, I write this  poem for my hubby and I hope he will like it ( though he will definitely laugh 1st ):~

Dear Hubby,
You make me cry, you make me laugh
You make me sad, you make me happy
You hurt me, you mend me
You curse me, you praise me
We fight, we make-up
like a series of Yin & Yang
that sometimes sicken me and scare me
But LOVE between us is beyond words
LOVE bring us together
LOVE become our bridge of forgiveness
A bridge that destined by God
A bridge that balancing our imperfection
A bridge that always win

Dear Hubby,
You might not a romantic husband
But you love me in your own way
and I love you for who you are
Long live Tom & Jerry Relationship!

For those who celebrating it, spread the act of loving on this day of LOVE!

P/S:~ 1)  This is just MY opinion so please correct me if I am wrong..
          2)  I am totally against any of immoral act

Laugh is the best medicine!

Yeah.. It's just an ordinary phrases that we used to hear over and over again but how many of us did practiced it in our daily life?? Do  you realized how much you wasted a day with out a laugh? Cewahh..sound macam mmau bagi syarahan la pula..*LOL*
Just mo sharing ba ni..

Okay, Check out the following:~

The many benefits of laughter

1. When you make fun of yourself, you dis-empower those who would make fun of you and disarm possible confrontations.( jangan saja over-do, or else people will misjudge )

2.  Laughter dissolves tension, stress, anxiety, irritation, anger, grief,  and depression. Like crying, laughter lowers inhibitions, allowing the  release of pent-up emotions. After a hearty bout of laughter, you will  experience a sense of well-being. Simply put, he/she who laughs, lasts.  After all, if you can laugh at it, you can live with it. Remember, a  person without a sense of humor is like a car without shock absorbers.

(pendek kata, kalau tension ja ketawa kuat2, confirm hilang tension..buli ka itu macam?? Wakakaka...)

3.  Medical researches have found that laughter boosts the immune system.  The study of how behavior and the brain affect the immune system is  called psycho-neuroimmunology. Though still in its infancy, this science  is rapidly gaining much attention as mankind strives to understand the  mind-body relationship.

( Ketawa la banyak2 supaya jadi kebal..muahahahahaha..)

4. Laughter reduces pain by releasing endorphins that are more potent than equivalent amounts of morphine... ( Tidak payah beli painkiller la kalau macam ni.. )

5.  Humor helps integrate both hemispheres of our brain, for the left  hemisphere is used to decipher the verbal content of a joke while the  right hemisphere interprets whether it is funny or not... ( teda komen sebab scientific betul ni fact.. hehehehe.. )

6. Laughter adds spice to life; it is to life what salt is to a hard-boiled egg...( kalau tidak ketawa rasa macam kureng ba life kan? )

7. Develop your sense of humor and you will find you are more productive, a better communicator, and a superior team player.. (Nanti mo minta ajar sepa2 yg pandai buat lawak la ni.. ;P)

8. Everyone loves someone who can make them laugh. The more you share your sense of humor, the more friends you will have.. ( I am totally agreed with this one..Siapa x mau kawan person yang buli buat kita ketawa kan? )

9. Humor brings the balance we need to get through the turbulence of life comfortably. (Betul..betul...betul..)

10.  Laughter is even equivalent to a small amount of exercise. It massages  all the organs of the body, according to Dr. James Walsh... ( senaman muka la konon ni..)

11. A sense of humor can help you accept the inevitable, rise to any  challenge, handle the unexpected with ease, and come out of any difficulty smiling..

So, don't wait up until fall sick to start practicing this habit in your life..(Yang selalu serius ja tu muka, start la kasi lawak/blur/apa2 yang nampak sempoi.. Rugi oo kalau selalu serius) I am gonna exchange my sleeping therapy to laugh therapy instead because I think it's the better way to cast away my tension.. Talking about laughing I remember a Plato's remark that sound like this :~

"Even the gods love jokes"

P/S:~ I like to read Reader Digest because it have lots of jokes that always make me laugh.. Even the title above is borrowed from Reader Digest...
